Protesters Vow to Continue Until President Tinubu Meets Demands
The audience members for "End Bad Governance in Nigeria" have declared that they won't stop until President Bola Tinubu accedes to their demands. They implored the president to take the necessary action, failing which the protests will not be called off.
Speaking to reporters in Abuja, Damilare Adenola, the Director of Mobilisation for the Take It Back Movement, claimed that the tyranny perpetrated by the president has gone on for far too long.
He said, "The various court orders restricting protesters to particular locations are an aberration. Our presence here today is an announcement that we have been oppressed for too long. Today, we have risen. We are saying to the president that unless President Bola Tinubu accedes to our demands, we will remain on the streets. We want to see the president on the street. During the protest, he was on the street."
Ayoola Babalola, a prominent figure in the Take It Back Movement, expressed that the demonstration of force surrounding the Moshood Abiola premises is a source of shame for the country. He promised not to frighten demonstrators.
