Delta State Government Debunks Rumor of Former Governor Uduaghan's Death

Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan is alive. His family has confirmed it. The rumor circulating online is false.

The Delta State Government moved quickly on Thursday to refute claims spreading across social media that former Delta State Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan had died. The denial came from Ossai Ovie Success, media assistant to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, who said he personally reached out to the former governor's family to verify the reports before making any statement.

"I immediately reached out to his family to confirm. I spoke directly with his daughter, Orode Uduaghan, on the phone, and she confirmed that the news is false. Dr Uduaghan is alive," Ossai Ovie said in a statement.

He added that he was disappointed by those who spread the false information without first attempting to verify it, and urged the public to disregard the rumor entirely and stop sharing unconfirmed reports.
