Amotekun Rescues Five Victims in Ondo Night Operations

A late-night security response in Ondo State has led to the rescue of five kidnapped victims in two separate incidents.

According to reports, three health workers were abducted at a health centre in Oke Ijebu, Akure, in the early hours of Saturday.

The incident reportedly occurred around 2:00 a.m. when armed attackers arrived in a vehicle and forced their way into the facility.

The victims were taken from the premises during the attack, prompting an immediate response from security operatives.

The Ondo Amotekun rescue operation was launched shortly after the incident.

In a separate incident on the outskirts of Oda Akure Road, a 45-year-old man and his 15-year-old son were reportedly abducted.

The attack occurred between 7:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on the same day.

Authorities say the Ondo Amotekun rescue operation covered both incidents as security teams worked to locate and rescue all victims.

The Commander of the Amotekun Corps in Ondo State, Adetunji Adeleye, confirmed that all five victims were successfully rescued.

According to him:

• The father and son were rescued around 1:00 a.m. after a confrontation with the attackers
• The three health workers regained freedom around 4:30 a.m.

Following the Ondo Amotekun rescue operation, the rescued individuals were taken for medical attention.

Officials confirmed that the victims are currently receiving care at an Amotekun health facility.
