Crayon Sparks Exit Rumors After Posts About Mavin

Nigerian singer Crayon has stirred intense online debate after a series of emotional posts about his record label surfaced on social media.

The late night messages quickly caught the attention of fans and industry observers, fueling speculation about a possible fallout with Mavin Records. The situation has left many wondering whether the artist could be preparing to leave the label that helped launch his career.

The Crayon Mavin Records controversy began after the 28 year old singer posted a string of messages on X on Sunday night, March 15.

The artist, whose real name is Charles Chibueze Chukwu, initially mentioned Mavin Records founder Don Jazzy before directing criticism toward the label’s chief operations officer, Tega Oghenejobo.

In one of the posts, he wrote:

“Don Jazzy na my boy!!!!!! Una dey maddddd!!?? Shayennnnn sharayyyyyy333.”

However, his comments later shifted to a more critical tone when he referred to the label’s COO in a harsh remark.

The posts quickly circulated online and intensified discussions surrounding the Crayon Mavin Records controversy.

In another message, Crayon made a deeply personal claim suggesting that the label was connected to the loss of his mother.

The singer did not provide details or context to support the statement.

He also posted another message stating that “Mavin is going down,” which further fueled speculation about tensions between the artist and the record label.

Because the statements were shared publicly, many fans began debating the possible meaning behind the messages.

The Crayon Mavin Records controversy also expanded when the singer appeared to reference fellow Mavin artist Rema.

Crayon suggested that he would not collaborate with the singer for a very long time and accused him of taking his spotlight.

The comments sparked further reactions among fans of both artists across social media platforms.

At the time of reporting, it remains unclear whether the posts were made intentionally or if the singer’s X account may have been compromised.

Crayon has continued posting on Instagram without publicly stating that his account was hacked.

This has left many followers uncertain about the context behind the messages.

Speculation about the artist’s future with the label increased after details about what appears to be a new music release surfaced online.

Reports indicate that Crayon’s recently released track titled Baami is currently listed under Olodum Entertainment rather than Mavin Records.

The absence of visible Mavin branding on the release has led some observers to believe the Crayon Mavin Records controversy could be connected to a possible label change.

Neither Crayon nor Mavin Records has issued an official statement clarifying the situation.
