CAF Champions League: Rivers United Drawn Against Pyramids, RS Berkane, and Power Dynamos
Nigeria’s Rivers United has been drawn into Group A of the 2025–26 CAF Champions League group stage, according to the official announcement by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
The Port Harcourt-based club will face a tough group featuring Power Dynamos of Zambia, RS Berkane of Morocco, and defending champions Pyramids FC of Egypt.
In Group B, Moroccan champions AS FAR will compete against JS Kabylie of Algeria, Young Africans of Tanzania, and Al Ahly of Egypt, the record 12-time winners.
Group C pits South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns against Al Hilal of Sudan, MC Alger of Algeria, and St Éloi Lupopo from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Meanwhile, Group D features Simba SC (Tanzania), Petro de Luanda (Angola), Espérance Sportive de Tunis(Tunisia), and Stade Malien (Mali).
The group stage will kick off over the weekend of November 21–23, before taking a break for the CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025. Matches will resume from January 23–25, 2026, with the knockout stage scheduled to begin on March 13, 2026.
CAF confirmed that the 2025–26 Champions League winners will receive $4 million, while the runners-up will earn $2 million.
