Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo Plateau Cleric Warns of Boko Haram Targeting
In a video posted on Thursday, Reverend Ezekiel Dachomo shared that revealed that Boko Haram terrorists have allegedly placed a bounty on him, offering a large reward to anyone who tracks him down and kills him. The Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo threat has stirred concern across the state.
Rev. Dachomo, who serves as the Regional Chairman of the Church of Christ in Nations in Barkin Ladi, said the threat is tied to his outspoken criticism of widespread killings and what he describes as ongoing persecution. He has been sharing videos of mass burials and violent attacks involving Christian communities. According to him, that advocacy has angered both extremists and some individuals in government circles.
He alleged that supporters of President Bola Tinubu have pressured him to stop publishing such videos. Shortly after, he said his Facebook and Instagram accounts were taken down, and Meta restricted him from sharing more footage due to security-related concerns. These developments, he said, have only intensified the Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo threat now unfolding around him.
In the video, he claimed he received credible insider information about Boko Haram’s intentions.
His words were firm:
“Boko Haram, the Islamic terrorists, have placed a bounty on my head, and anyone who kills me first will be rewarded.”
Despite this, Rev. Dachomo insisted he would not retreat from his advocacy. He said the risk is real, but the cause is bigger than his personal safety. His stance is rooted in bringing attention to what he describes as ongoing violence in Plateau and other parts of the Middle Belt. The Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo threat has not changed his mission.
He said:
“Before I embarked on this journey of exposing Christian genocide in Plateau and in Nigeria, I knew my life would be in danger, but I do not fear death.”
He added that silencing him would not end the movement.
“In fact, my death will be more dangerous to them than now that I am alive.”
He concluded with a wider appeal, noting that insecurity affects people across religions and backgrounds.
“This is not just about me; it is about every Nigerian who desires peace and safety. We need support to stand against this terrorism,” he said.
