Trump Criticizes Harvard, Calls for Federal Funding to Be Cut
Former U.S. President Donald Trump has once again criticized Harvard University, describing the institution as a “joke” and accusing it of promoting “hate and stupidity.”
In a post shared on his social media platform, Truth Social, on Wednesday, Trump argued that Harvard has lost its standing as a respected academic institution.
"Harvard can no longer be considered even a decent place of learning and should not be considered on any list of the world’s great universities or colleges," he stated. "It is a joke, teaches hate and stupidity, and should no longer receive federal funds."
Trump further emphasized that federal financial support should be withdrawn from the Ivy League school.
This latest criticism follows a series of remarks made by Trump earlier in the week, where he threatened to challenge Harvard’s tax-exempt status. His attacks come amid ongoing tensions between the university and Trump’s political allies over the institution’s policies.
The former president’s comments appear to stem from Harvard's decision not to implement policy changes previously advocated by his administration.
As of now, Harvard University has not publicly responded to Trump’s statements.
