Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa Expels 100 Students for Exam Malpractice
The Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa, has expelled 100 students for involvement in examination malpractice during the 2023–2024 academic session.
This announcement was made by the Acting Rector, Dr. Hauwa Muhammad, during the institution’s 41st matriculation ceremony, held over the weekend in Nasarawa Local Government Area. The event welcomed about 15,000 newly admitted students for the 2024–2025 academic session across National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), and Part-Time programs.
Dr. Muhammad cautioned the new students against academic dishonesty, using the expelled students as an example of the institution's strict stance on examination malpractice. “Let the experience of the expelled students serve as a lesson to all. This institution has zero tolerance for any form of academic dishonesty,” she warned.
She also urged students to foster a peaceful and cooperative campus environment while avoiding social vices such as drug use, indecent dressing, and cultism.
