Nigeria Immigration Service Reopens Online Passport Application Portal

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has announced the reopening of its online passport application portal. The platform is now fully operational following a period of system maintenance and upgrades.  

In a statement signed by DCI KT Udo, the NIS Public Relations Officer, the agency acknowledged the temporary unavailability of the portal during the maintenance period. The statement, titled “Passport Application Portal Now Back in Optimal Service,” highlighted the agency's commitment to providing seamless services to Nigerians.  

The statement reads: “The Nigeria Immigration Service has considered it exigent to inform the public that our online passport application portal is now back in optimal service, following a system upgrade and maintenance.

“While we apologize for any inconvenience the recently concluded system upgrade and maintenance may have caused, we deeply appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

“The Service also wishes to reiterate our commitment to serving Nigerians across the globe with excellence.”  

The NIS assures applicants of improved service delivery with the upgraded system. Nigerians are encouraged to take advantage of the portal for seamless passport applications.
