NAHCON Announces 2025 Hajj Fare for Borno and Adamawa Pilgrims
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has set the 2025 Hajj fare for pilgrims from the Borno and Adamawa zones at ₦8.33 million.
This was disclosed by Prof. Abdullahi Usman, NAHCON's Executive Chairman, in a statement released on Monday by the commission's Assistant Director of Information and Publication, Fatima Usara.
Prof. Usman stated that the fare was approved by the Office of the Vice President after extensive consultations to ensure affordability. He also announced the fares for other regions, with pilgrims from the Southern States to pay ₦8.78 million, and those from the Northern Zone to pay ₦8.46 million. “This modest effort on the fare was reached after extensive consultations to ensure inclusivity in this important decision-making process,” he explained.
The NAHCON chairman acknowledged the support of the Forum of Executive Secretaries of State Pilgrims Welfare Boards, Agencies, and Commissions, as well as Ameen Amshi, the Special Assistant to the President on Special Duties.
He urged prospective pilgrims to ensure early payment and adhere to registration schedules and Saudi regulations to avoid last-minute challenges.
