Bandits Burn Homes In Sokoto Community During Night Raid
Residents of a small village in Sabon Birni Local Government Area, Sokoto State, woke up to the aftermath of a violent raid after bandits stormed the Adamawa community in Kalgo Ward and set several buildings on fire.
The incident was reported by security analyst Bakatsine, who shared an update on X on Monday. According to him, armed bandits launched the attack late Sunday night, breaking into homes and a shop before setting them ablaze.
In his words: “Armed bandits attacked Adamawa community in Kalgo Ward, Sabon Birni LGA of Sokoto State yesterday night. Despite no one being abducted or killed, the bandits burned three houses including those belonging to Malam Ila, a cleric and the village head as well as a shop that had been looted before setting ablaze.”
Bakatsine added a question that many Nigerians have found themselves asking far too often: “How many more communities must endure such attacks before solutions arrive?”
For now, there has been no official statement from authorities. Residents are reportedly counting their losses, trying to rebuild, and hoping the next night will be quieter than the last.
