Two Die in Fatal Crash on Lagos–Ibadan Expressway
Two unidentified individuals have died following a single-vehicle crash along the Isara-Remo and Erimobi Bridge section of the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State.
The Lagos Ibadan expressway accident occurred on Monday and involved a Suzuki bus with registration number KRD 194 JW.
The incident was confirmed by Babatunde Akinbiyi, spokesperson for the Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps in Ogun State.
According to Akinbiyi, both occupants of the vehicle died instantly at the scene of the crash.
Preliminary findings revealed that the driver was traveling at high speed when the vehicle collided with a stationary car that had broken down along the roadway.
The impact was fatal.
Following the accident, the bodies of the deceased were evacuated and taken to the State General Hospital in Isara-Remo for proper handling and identification.
Officials also confirmed that the damaged Suzuki bus was removed from the expressway to restore traffic flow and was later taken to the Isara-Remo Police Station for further investigation.
