Primate Ayodele: Only a Trio, Not Peter Obi Alone, Can Threaten Tinubu’s 2027 Ambition
Primate Elijah Ayodele, spiritual leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has declared that former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi alone lacks the political influence needed to derail President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.
In a statement issued by his media aide, Oluwatosin Osho, on Sunday, Ayodele claimed that only a trio of unnamed political figures have the potential to truly challenge Tinubu's hold on power in the next general election.
“Peter Obi alone cannot weaken President Tinubu’s ambition,” Ayodele said. “He cannot become President by himself, and the current coalition lacks the key figures needed to shake Tinubu’s second-term prospects.”
While acknowledging that Tinubu has performed better than his predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari, Ayodele warned that the involvement of three specific individuals, whose identities he promised to reveal later, could seriously impact Tinubu’s chances in 2027.
The cleric also cautioned Tinubu to strategically appoint loyal and capable individuals, particularly in the northern region, to prevent betrayal.
“If Tinubu doesn’t put the right people in some positions, his victory will be truncated, especially in the North,” he warned.
Ayodele emphasized that while Tinubu appears prepared for re-election, he must take three decisive actions to secure victory.
“There will be a lot of difference in the 2027 election, and it’s only three people who can weaken him,” Ayodele stated, leaving political observers speculating about the identities and roles of these individuals.
