In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Mukhtar Garba Kobi, the Speaker stressed the importance of ethical behavior:

“Nigeria’s 65 years of independence were marked with transformations but still more need to be done on security and economy in order to make the country favorable for investors. Citizens should desist from unethical conduct and serve as good ambassadors of their families, communities, and states.”

He emphasized that Nigeria remains a shining light in Africa, but unity and discipline are crucial for sustained growth.

While encouraging Nigerians to pray for the country and its leaders, Suleiman insisted that prayers alone are not enough.

  • Leaders must deliver outcomes that reflect their commitments.

  • Citizens should hold them accountable while also contributing positively to national unity.

  • Priority areas remain infrastructure, security, agriculture, health, and education.

The Speaker prayed that Nigeria’s leaders would surpass public expectations and guide the country through its many challenges.

He concluded by stressing unity, cooperation, and responsible leadership as the foundation for improving citizens’ quality of life.
