Police Arrest Three Suspected Bandits, Informant, and Drug Supplier in Sokoto
The Sokoto State Police Command has arrested three suspected bandits, along with an informant and a suspected drug supplier, following a successful raid on a criminal hideout in Kware Local Government Area.

According to the police, the operation was carried out on October 4 by operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit after receiving credible intelligence about a five-man gang notorious for terrorizing villages in Wamako and Kware.
During the raid on the suspects’ camp in Sabon Birni, Kware LGA, officers apprehended Bubale Mohammed and two other gang members. The team also arrested an informant believed to have provided the group with local intelligence, and a drug dealer who allegedly supplied them with narcotics.
Police recovered several illegal drugs, including dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, along with other incriminating materials.
Investigators said videos found on the suspects’ phones showed them posing in military uniforms and brandishing rifles inside their camp, evidence now being reviewed by detectives.
The suspects have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation, while efforts are underway to track down other fleeing members of the gang.
