Army Rescues 11 Kidnapped Victims Along Kaduna–Abuja Road

In a coordinated Nigerian Army rescue operation along the Kaduna–Abuja road, troops from the Nigerian Army’s 1 Division have freed 11 kidnapped victims in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The development was shared on Tuesday by security analyst Zagazola Makama via a post on X.

According to the report, soldiers stationed at a Forward Operating Base in Doka noticed armed abductors moving kidnapped victims through a bush path linking Gidan Duna and Amale communities in Kachia LGA.

Once the movement was identified, the troops responded immediately.

Makama wrote that the abductors fled upon sighting the approaching military vehicles and motorcycles, abandoning their captives and escaping into the surrounding bush.

The successful Nigerian Army rescue operation led to the release of:

• Five adult males
• Three adult females
• Three children

Security sources revealed that the victims told the soldiers they had been abducted on October 26, 2025, from the Gada Mallam Maman community, also located in Kachia Local Government Area.

After the rescue, the victims were safely reunited with their families and returned to their village under military protection.

Following the incident, security officials confirmed that patrols and operations have been intensified across the area. The aim is to prevent further attacks along the Kaduna Abuja road and track down the fleeing suspects.

This Nigerian Army rescue operation highlights ongoing efforts to curb banditry in Nigeria, particularly in areas where road travel has become increasingly dangerous. While challenges remain, the rescue offers a measure of relief to affected communities and underscores the importance of sustained security operations in Kaduna State.

As security forces continue to adapt and respond, residents are urged to remain vigilant and cooperate with authorities by sharing credible information that can help protect lives.
