Two Teenage Boys Arrested In Bauchi For Alleged Sexual Assault On Minors
Two teenage gay suspects have been detained by the Bauchi State Police Command on suspicion of sexually abusing youngsters in Tilden Fulani, Toro Local Government Area.
In a statement released on Thursday, SP Nafiu Habib, the command's spokesperson, acknowledged the development.
The statement claims that the arrest came after a parent filed a complaint on January 8 alleging that a 16-year-old suspect had lured and mistreated his eight-year-old son.“On 8th January 2026 at about 2130hrs, a concerned father reported at the Divisional Police Headquarters, Tilden Fulani, that his son (name withheld), aged 8yrs, was deceitfully lured with sweets and tiger nuts by one Mohammed Saifullahi, ‘m’ aged 16, who subsequently had homosexual intercourse with him on multiple occasions.”
A group of detectives were promptly sent to the scene after receiving the report. The victim was taken to the hospital for a medical evaluation after the perpetrator was taken into custody.
Preliminary inquiry also found that a 17-year-old named Shuaibu Sulaiman, who was also detained, had introduced the suspect to the homosexual act.
The 16-year-old suspect, Saifullahi, allegedly confessed to the crime and identified Sulaiman as an accomplice.
According to reports, Sulaiman disclosed that the reason he committed this crime for the first time was because he and his companion Saifullahi Mohammed shared a two-in-one bed.During questioning, the authorities learned that Saifullahi Mohammed, the first suspect, had sexually assaulted four children between the ages of seven and ten.
According to the Command, preliminary results showed that several children, ages seven to 10, had reportedly been abused.
According to SP Habib, the suspects confessed while being questioned and will face charges in court once the investigations were over.
CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, the Commissioner of Police, denounced the incident and threatened to prosecute anyone found guilty.
Additionally, he advised guardians and parents to monitor their children's activities more closely.
