Uba Sani Reaffirms Education Commitment in Kaduna
Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has restated his administration’s strong commitment to improving education standards, describing it as the cornerstone of his transformation agenda.

The governor made this clear while hosting the Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, and his management team at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, where he presented land allocation papers for staff housing in Sabon Gari and Chikun LGAs.
Governor Sani explained that the gesture was designed to:
Enhance staff welfare and boost morale
Support ABU in meeting its academic and social responsibilities
Strengthen partnerships between the Kaduna State Government and one of Nigeria’s leading universities
The ABU delegation commended the Kaduna State Government for progress in education, agriculture, transportation, and inclusive governance, noting that its leadership style has become a case study in ABU faculties as a model for Nigeria’s democratic future.
Governor Sani highlighted specific steps his administration has taken to back words with action:
Raised education’s share of the state budget to 26.14% in 2025
Constructed 62 new schools
Built and renovated over 1,700 classrooms
Reduced tuition fees for state-owned tertiary institutions by 50%
Commissioned three of the largest vocational and skills institutes in Nigeria
He stressed that these moves are part of a long-term vision to make Kaduna a hub for quality education and skills development.
The governor also emphasized Kaduna’s readiness to:
Collaborate with ABU in technical and vocational training
Support the university as a centre of excellence
Expand skill-building initiatives that can empower youth and prepare them for the job market
He reaffirmed that his administration would continue to back ABU, describing it as both a national treasure and a key partner in delivering democratic dividends.
