Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has congratulated Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja on his installation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadan, expressing confidence that the new monarch will leave a lasting impact on the city and its people.

In a statement shared on his official X handle, Atiku described Oba Ladoja as a man whose diverse experience in business, politics, and administration will serve Ibadan well.
“I congratulate my brother and compatriot, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja Arusa I on his installation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadan.
I am confident that Oba Ladoja would bring his wealth of experience as a businessman, politician, and seasoned administrator into his new role as the Olubadan.”
Atiku further recalled Ladoja’s tenure as governor of Oyo State, noting that it laid the foundation for modern development in the state. He expressed hope that the monarch’s reign would be equally transformational.
The former Vice President praised the people of Ibadan and Oyo State for ushering in what he called a “new and glorious era” under Oba Ladoja’s leadership.
“Just like his tenure as governor created the template for the development of modern Oyo State, Oba Ladoja will create an impact as Olubadan that every son and daughter of Ibadan, and friends of the ancient city like me, would be proud of.”
He joined other well-wishers in extending warm congratulations to the monarch, adding that Ibadan stands at the threshold of renewed progress and pride.
