Edo Governor Okpebholo Approves Four New Commissioner-Nominees
Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has approved the nomination of four new commissioners to join the State Executive Council.

With these additions, the total number of nominated and appointed commissioners now stands at 26.
According to a statement issued by Barrister Umar Musa Ikhilor, Secretary to the State Government, the following individuals have been nominated:
Dr. Jerry Uwangue
Dr. Kenneth Okoruwa Ihensekhien
Barr. Usenbo Paul Ehigie
Akhigbe Osi John Sunday
The nominees’ names have been forwarded to the Edo State House of Assembly for screening and approval.
Among the nominees, Dr. Kenneth Okoruwa Ihensekhien brings significant political and administrative experience:
Former Minority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly (1999–2003)
Served as Commissioner for Youth & Sports, Energy & Water Resources, and Agriculture & Natural Resources
Former Special Adviser on Project Monitoring
Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor (2018–2020)
Principal Private Secretary to the APC National Chairman
Current Status of the Executive Council
Out of the 26 nominees, nine have already been sworn in.
Eight nominees have been vetted and approved by the House but are yet to be sworn in.
With the latest nominations, the process of constituting the full State Executive Council is nearing completion.
