Nigerian Army Launches Operation After Deadly Bandit Attack in Kaduna
The Nigerian Army’s 1 Division has launched a search-and-rescue operation in collaboration with other security agencies after armed bandits attacked Wake and Gadanaji villages in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The assault took place around 5:55 a.m. on Sunday, according to security analyst Zagazola, who reported the incident on his X account.
A large number of armed bandits stormed Wake village, firing indiscriminately before extending their attack to nearby Gadanaji.
Reported Casualties
Killed: Elisha Pius, Japhet Bitrus, Obadiah Joshua, Luka Augustine, Paul Augustine (Wake); Ezekiel Augustine, Ishaya Paul, Bulus Bawa (Gadanaji).
Injured: Sanda Christopher, Isaac Elisha, Moses Christian, Godday Clement, Janet Godday (Wake); Sunday Nuhu, Zakariah Anthony, Gideon Pius (Gadanaji).
Kidnapped: An unspecified number of villagers taken to unknown locations.
Troops arrived promptly at the scene, providing emergency evacuation:

More critical cases were transferred to Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital in Kaduna.
