Gunmen Kidnap Wife and Daughter of APC Chairman in Kwara
Unidentified gunmen have abducted the wife and daughter of Muhammad Swasun, chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Patigi Local Government Area of Kwara State.

The incident reportedly occurred on Sunday evening, sparking fear among residents of the area.
According to sources, the armed men:
Forced their way into Swasun’s residence by breaking through the gate
Fired sporadic gunshots to scare residents
Stormed into one of the rooms and abducted the wife and daughter at gunpoint
A party official, who asked not to be named, confirmed the incident to journalists on Monday morning.
“It’s true that our chairman’s wife and daughter in Patigi were kidnapped last night,” the official said.
The kidnapping adds to rising concerns over insecurity in Kwara and other parts of Nigeria’s North-Central region, where communities continue to face threats from banditry and armed violence.
Authorities have not yet released an official statement, and it remains unclear if any ransom demands have been made.
