NAF Airstrikes Kill 15 Terrorists in Borno During Operation Hadin Kai

According to the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), over 15 terrorists were killed in Borno State by airstrikes conducted as part of Operation Hadin Kai.

The mission took place on September 3, 2025, according to a statement released by NAF spokesperson Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame.

Ejodame explained that the strikes were based on reliable intelligence and surveillance, which uncovered a newly identified terrorist enclave in the Sambisa general area, west of Zuwa.

“A carefully planned and executed air interdiction mission struck the hideouts harboring fighters and commanders responsible for recent hostilities around Bitta,” he stated.

Key Outcomes

  • Over 15 terrorists killed, including fighters and field commanders

  • Critical structures destroyed, disrupting terrorist logistics and planning

  • Ground forces supported, enhancing coordinated counterterrorism efforts

Ejodame noted that the strikes significantly weakened the terrorists’ ability to launch further attacks.

The operation represents another step in Nigeria’s counterterrorism campaign in the Northeast, where remnants of insurgent groups continue to pose threats to security and livelihoods. By dismantling hideouts and supply lines, the airstrikes aim to cripple terrorist networks in Sambisa and surrounding areas.
