Adamawa Confirms Hack of Gov. Fintiri's X Account, Warns Public to Ignore Fake Posts

The Adamawa State Government has officially confirmed that the X account (formerly Twitter) belonging to Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has been compromised by hackers.

In a statement released by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Humwashi Wonosikou, the public was cautioned to disregard any posts or messages originating from the affected account.

“Unfortunately, the account has been compromised by hackers, and any content posted from it does not represent the views or statements of the Governor or his representatives,” Wonosikou said.

Mr. Wonosikou reassured the public that efforts are ongoing to recover the account and restore full control to the Governor’s communication team.

“We are working diligently to recover the account and restore its integrity. The Governor regrets any embarrassment or inconvenience caused by the actions of the hackers,” he added.

In the meantime, residents and followers are advised to rely only on verified communication channels for official information from the Governor’s office.
