Governor Uba Sani Presents Staff of Office to New Moro’a Chief, Ishaku Sambo

Manchok, Kaduna State – Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State formally presented the staff of office to Ishaku Tagwai Sambo, the newly installed Fifth Chief of Moro’a, a prominent First-Class Chiefdom in the state, during a traditional ceremony held on Saturday.

The new monarch succeeds his late father, Chief Tagwai Sambo, who led the Moro’a people for an impressive 58 years before his death in 2021.

Governor Sani described the new chief’s appointment as a continuation of a remarkable legacy, noting that the late Chief Tagwai Sambo was widely respected for his wisdom, patience, and peaceful leadership.

“You are succeeding a colossus,” the governor said. “The people have chosen you, and the laws of the state back your position. Lead with compassion and equity.”

The governor also emphasized his administration’s recognition of traditional institutions as vital partners in promoting peace, security, and sustainable development.

In his acceptance speech, Chief Ishaku Sambo expressed gratitude to the people and pledged to build on his father’s legacy:

“Our Chiefdom enjoyed remarkable peace, prosperity, and development under his reign. I am committed to preserving that legacy and serving with humility and diligence.”
