“Tehran Will Burn”: Israel Warns Iran Amid Escalating Retaliatory Strikes
As tensions between Israel and Iran continue to intensify, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has issued a stark warning to Tehran, vowing severe consequences if retaliatory attacks from Iran persist.
Speaking during a Saturday assessment with Israel’s Chief of Staff, Katz declared:
“If [Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali] Khamenei continues to fire missiles at the Israeli home front, Tehran will burn.”
The warning follows a wave of missile and drone strikes from Iran that have struck targets in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, leaving at least three Israelis dead and injuring many others.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed the casualties and expressed condolences to the victims’ families. He emphasized that the Israeli government would take all necessary steps to prevent Iran from developing ballistic missiles and nuclear capabilities.
“We will not allow Iran to arm itself with nuclear weapons or continue threatening Israeli lives with long-range missiles,” Netanyahu said.
Israel has launched preemptive airstrikes on several Iranian nuclear sites, citing growing concerns about Tehran’s nuclear ambitions.
Iran, in response, launched retaliatory strikes, escalating the long-standing hostilities between the two regional powers.
Iran’s missiles hit critical locations in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, further inflaming regional tensions and prompting international concern over the possibility of a broader Middle East conflict.
While the Israeli military has not disclosed the full extent of damage, emergency services continue to assess the impact and assist affected civilians.
