Nigerian Air Force Destroys Major Terrorist IED Factory and Weapons Convoy in Borno

In a significant win against terrorism, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has destroyed an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) factory, several weapons trucks, and hundreds of insurgents in a targeted airstrike operation in Kwaltiri, located within the volatile Tumbuktu Triangle of Borno State.

The precision strike, conducted under the ongoing Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), is being hailed as a major blow to insurgent logistics and morale in the region.

According to Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information for the Nigerian Air Force, the mission was carried out after credible surveillance data confirmed the presence of a terrorist weapons convoy and an IED production facility.

“Our aircraft engaged the targets in multiple precision strikes, neutralizing the factory, destroying weapons-laden vehicles, and eliminating large numbers of insurgents,” the statement read.

The operation’s success marks a strategic setback for terrorist groups in the Northeast, especially in their command, control, and supply systems.

The Air Force emphasized that the mission not only crippled key logistics routes but also sent shockwaves through enemy ranks, significantly lowering their morale and momentum.

“It reinforces NAF’s resolve to degrade terrorist capabilities and enhance security in the North East,” the official statement added.
