“The Day I Become a Professional Pastor, Let God Kill Me” – Pastor Jerry Eze Opens Up About His Calling
Pastor Jerry Eze, founder and lead pastor of Streams of Joy International, has spoken candidly about the driving force behind his global evangelism mission, emphasizing that his ministry is a divine calling, not a career path.
In a revealing interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Pastor Eze rejected the idea that his work is motivated by fame, money, or personal ambition.
“I’m not a professional pastor. The day I become a professional pastor, let God kill me,” he declared.
Pastor Jerry’s rapid rise to prominence, especially through his globally followed NSPPD (New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations) platform, has attracted both admiration and scrutiny. But according to him, none of it was ever part of his plan.
“I didn’t plan to be here. This is not something you plan, that at some point you’ll be big and the world will hear of you,” he said.
Instead, he sees his influence as evidence of God's plan unfolding, not human strategy or media savvy.
“I know what my assignment is, I know what God has called me to do, and it has consumed me.”
Known for his energetic and faith-driven prayer broadcasts, Pastor Jerry noted that the real fuel for his ministry is seeing lives changed.
“I don’t care what anybody thinks or feels, but the encouragement is when I see those smiles and hear those testimonies,” he shared.
For him, success is not about numbers, likes, or headlines, but about the tangible impact his ministry has on people’s lives.
