Reno Omokri Accused of Neglecting Special Needs Son

Former presidential aide and social media personality Reno Omokri has been accused by his first wife, Tuokpe Onuwaje, of neglecting their son with special needs.

In a Facebook post on Monday, Onuwaje alleged that Omokri:

• Has not visited or engaged with their son since June 2024.

• Only makes what she described as “fleeting visits” to his other children.

• Has left their special needs child longing for a father’s consistent presence.

She criticized Omokri’s public image as a family man, suggesting that appearing in “staged photos” online is not the same as being present in a child’s life.

“Parenting should be about being constantly present in a child’s life, not about social media validation,” she wrote.

Onuwaje urged Omokri to prioritize meaningful, consistent fatherhood over public appearances, emphasizing that children, especially those with special needs, require steady care and emotional support.

The accusation highlights the tension between celebrity image-building on social media and the realities of private family life. It also draws attention to the unique challenges faced by children with special needs when one parent is absent.
