Adamawa Civil Service Schedules Mop-Up CBT Exam for Missed Candidates

The Adamawa State Civil Service Commission has announced a mop-up computer-based test (CBT) for candidates who were unable to take their scheduled examination at various centres earlier this week.

Since July 31, 2025, a total of 52,003 candidates have been sitting for the test across zonal centres in the state. The exercise is part of the recruitment process for 4,000 vacancies in the state’s civil service, announced earlier in the year.

In a public notice issued Friday morning, Abubakar Maiha, Permanent Secretary of the Commission, confirmed that the mop-up exam will be held in Yola this Saturday, August 9, 2025.

  • Venue: General Murtala Mohammed College, Yola

  • Time: 7:00 a.m. prompt

  • Requirements: Exam slip and valid means of identification

“All concerned candidates are advised to appear at the venue with their exam slip and a valid means of identification,” Maiha said.

He emphasized that this mop-up session is the final opportunity for those who missed their earlier schedules to participate in the recruitment process.

Background to the Recruitment Drive

In April 2025, following the directive of Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, the state government announced 4,000 civil service job openings. Applications were received online between April 29 and May 12, 2025.

Out of 96,102 applications52,003 candidates passed the preliminary screening and were shortlisted for the CBT.
