INEC: Over 360,000 PVCs Still Unclaimed in Osun State
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has revealed that at least 360,794 Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) remain uncollected in Osun State.

The figure was disclosed in a statement issued in Osogbo on Tuesday by Musa Olurode, INEC’s Public Relations Officer, on behalf of the state’s Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Dr. Mutiu Agboke.
Dr. Agboke described the number of unclaimed PVCs as “troubling,” stressing that it represents thousands of eligible voters currently excluded from the democratic process.
“We are appealing to all eligible voters who, for one reason or another, have not collected their PVCs, to visit any of our 30 local government offices or the Modakeke area office between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily to pick up their cards,” he urged.
The REC emphasized that PVC collection is just as important as registration, reminding citizens that without their cards they cannot cast ballots.
INEC also cautioned that:
Multiple registrations remain prohibited.
Ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) allows new voters to register and old registrants to collect their PVCs.
Failure to collect PVCs could result in data invalidation.
INEC appealed to political parties, civil society organizations, traditional rulers, and religious leaders to assist in mobilizing citizens for timely collection.
“PVC collection must be seen as a civic duty,” the Commission stressed, urging stakeholders to help ensure that every eligible voter’s voice is represented at the polls.
