Super Falcons star Francisca Mlumun Ordega (OON) has been celebrated by the Benue State Government for her outstanding performance at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

At a special ceremony in Makurdi on Wednesday evening, Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia announced a ₦50 million cash reward, the naming of a boulevard in Ordega’s honor, and the allocation of a three-bedroom apartment in the heart of the state capital.
The event was organized to recognize Ordega’s vital role in Nigeria’s successful WAFCON 2024 campaign and to highlight her influence as a role model for aspiring athletes in Benue and across Nigeria.
“Francisca Ordega has made Benue State and Nigeria proud. Her commitment, discipline, and talent deserve to be celebrated. This is our little way of saying thank you,” Governor Alia stated.
Governor Alia praised Ordega for not only elevating Benue’s name in the sporting world but also inspiring a generation of young sportsmen and women to pursue excellence.
The Super Falcons forward, a seasoned international player, has represented Nigeria in multiple FIFA Women’s World Cups, African tournaments, and Olympic qualifiers, consistently proving herself as one of the nation’s most reliable players.
