President Tinubu Applauds Nigerian Students for Winning English Contest in the UK

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated three Nigerian students from the northern region for their exceptional victory at the 2025 TeenEagle Global Finals held in London, United Kingdom.

In a statement released on Wednesday by presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga, the President lauded the students' brilliance and described their achievement as a powerful testament to the potential of Nigerian youth.

The celebrated students, Hadiza Kalli KashimRukayya Muhammad Fema, and Nafisa Abdullahi Aminu, earned top honors in categories such as English language proficiencydebate, and overall academic excellence.

“The President encourages Nafisa, Rukayya, and Hadiza to remain steadfast in their studies and wishes them continued success,” the statement read.

All three girls are from northern Nigeria and stood out among global participants at the TeenEagle finals, a prestigious international academic tournament that tests students in literacy, logic, confidence, and communication skills.

President Tinubu emphasized that their performance proves Nigeria’s future is bright, with its youth emerging as global symbols of excellence and determination.

It’s worth noting that two of the winners, Nafisa and Rukayya, hail from Yobe State. The state government has already pledged to formally recognize their outstanding performance as ambassadors of academic excellence.
