CAF Champions League Preliminary Draw: Remo Stars and Rivers United Await Opponents

Remo Stars and Rivers United have been placed in Pot 3 and Pot 7, respectively, ahead of the CAF Champions Leaguepreliminary round draw taking place today, Saturday, in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

A total of 62 clubs will compete in this year’s tournament, which kicks off its preliminary phase next month.

Both Nigerian sides will be looking for a favorable draw as they aim to become the first club from the country to lift the CAF Champions League trophy since Enyimba’s historic triumph in 2004.

Each participating club in the preliminary stage will receive $100,000 from the competition organizers, providing a significant boost to their campaign preparations.

The draw in Tanzania will determine the early matchups, setting the tone for the long road to Africa’s most prestigious club football title.
