CAC Addresses Stamp Duty Payment Glitches, Promises Fix and New AI-Powered Services
The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has acknowledged that some customers are still experiencing difficulties paying stamp duties through its online platform.

In a statement posted on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Friday, the Commission explained that the issue stems from the rollout of its recently upgraded website, which it described as more sophisticated than systems used by some of its partner agencies.
“Please be assured that this matter is receiving the urgent attention of engineers from both agencies involved, and a permanent solution is almost in place,” the CAC stated.
The Commission also announced that it is finalizing a streamlined, AI-powered post-incorporation system for business names. This new system will feature enhanced functionalities, including the ability for registered businesses to file annual returns directly online.
The CAC expects the Annual Returns function to be fully operational by the weekend.
